Segregated Witness or SegWit is a scaling solution for Bitcoin enabling faster transactions at lower costs. The usage of SegWit is requiring a soft fork. Altcoins among Litecoin, Digibyte or Vertcoin have already implemented SegWit into their Bitcoin-based Blockchain.
